SERIES 03 · HIGH-THREAT MITIGATION

Steel Rope & Ring Net Systems for Heavy UAV Threats

Synthetic nets are effective against small, low-energy drones. Larger, heavier and faster UAVs call for a different level of physical resilience: high-tensile steel nets on an engineered cable structure that manages kinetic energy instead of resisting it rigidly.

The MAISHI AD-500 System: built for high-energy UAV interception

The MAISHI AD-500 System is a double-layer, modular steel net system engineered for high-energy UAV interception, with replaceable panels and energy-dissipation hardware.

  • Outer ring net for primary energy absorption and deflection
  • Brake rings that turn energy into heat by plastic deformation
  • Inner chain-link net that holds smaller debris and reduces penetration risk
  • Stand-off: a clear distance behind the net for design deflection

Engineered per Project

Every Series 03 system is engineered per project. Energy capacity, deflection and support loads are confirmed against the client’s design basis threat and validated by structural analysis before supply. Foundations are designed by the local structural engineer.

Typical applications

  • Power plants, substations and transformer yards
  • Oil & gas tank farms, refineries and chemical plants (steel option for higher threat)
  • High-value fixed sites where larger, faster UAVs are part of the threat definition

Metallic nets near radar, antennas and RF equipment must be reviewed during design; keep emitter zones clear or use a synthetic net locally.

MAISHI anti-drone nets reduce the risk of direct drone impact on protected assets. They do not guarantee interception of every threat and do not provide blast or fragment protection. All projects are subject to export-control and end-use screening.
